Robert was born in Springfield, Illinois, where he first cracked a microphone on-air in the Fall of 1978.  Robert went on to represent and collect call letters at KILO-94 & KRCC in Colorado Springs, CO; WLAV in Grand Rapids, MI, and in Chicago, IL at WKQX/Q101, and WXRT.  In 2002 he moved to Bozeman, MT for 2 years at The Moose, then settled in Missoula, MT taking the helm as Program Director of KDTR-The Trail 103.3 in 2005.

 

Robert is the host of The Morning Trail weekdays 7a-Noon.  The show begins, at 7, with The Trails Morning Moment of Levity, a comedy bit from legendary to lesser known comedians getting the day started with a laugh.  The segment repeats each morning at 9. He takes great
pride in delivering news with a strong focus on local stories relevant to our community.

 

Each morning at 8:30 it's Chase's Choice  featuring  a song from a new release, with most of the featured albums on sale during the week at Rockin' Rudy's. 
Throughout the week he kicks off New Tracks on The Trail Tuesday, Win It Wednesday, and Vinally Friday.  Seasonally, The Morning Trail presents, at 7:50 Thursday & Friday, The Trail Ski & Snowboard Report, and The Trail River Report, and Friday at 7:20 The Trail Fishing Report.

 

Robert enjoys fly fishing, snowboarding, windsurfing, soaking in hot springs, local breweries, and hunting for records to add to his collection of 50+ years.
